Day 2 - Monday, December 28
Salzburg / City tour / Sound of Music area tour

Half day Salzburg city tour followed by half day tour to Sound Of Music Area with private guide and car, duration 8hrs.
Discover the architectural and historical highlights of the baroque city of Salzburg. You will see Mirabell Square, Schwarzstrasse, the Marionette Theatre, Landestheater, Makart Square, Mozart’s House, Castle Neuhaus, Nonntal Bridge, Alpenstrasse, Hellbrunn Palace and Neutor. The second part of the tour is on foot. You will discover the enchanting pedestrian area of the old town with its sights. Take this chance to enjoy a great city tour in Vienna and see its most famous sights. On this tour you will see the most significant museums, monuments and buildings along the Ringstreet as well as gorgeous castles and typical Vienna sights such as the "Heuriger" in Grinzing or the Vienna Prater. During the tour you will have 3 stops. The first one is at the Hundertwasserhaus for approximately 20 minutes. The next stop is at Cobenzl from where you have a beautiful overview of Vienna and have the possibility to take some beautiful photos. Your last stop will be at the world famous Schoenbrunn palace where you will stay for approximately 30 minutes.

Vienna New Year’s Eve Imperial Ball
The elegant beginning of the Grand Ball season, the Imperial Ball takes place on December 31st in the Viennese Hofburg Palace (Imperial Palace). Visitors come from all over the world to spend New Years’ Eve in the former winter residence of the Austrian Emperor. In the entrance hall, Imperial Guards perform the historic changing of the guards. Guests are greeted on the grand staircase by the ’Imperial Couple’. Ladies are presented a small gift as a remembrance of the evening by footmen dressed in livery. Members of the ball committee guide the visitors to the state apartments, splendidly decorated with thousands of flowers. A gala banquet will be served by waiters in silk livery. Internationally known orchestras and bands invite you to dance in the Festival Hall and other splendid halls. At midnight, the ringing of the bell from St.Stephan’s Cathedral can be heard, the ’Imperial Couple’ wishes a Happy New Year and the Deutschmeister Band marches through the halls playing music. The climax is the fabulous show starting after midnight in the Festival Hall. Stars from the State Opera and Volksopera sing and dance to melodies from Viennese operettas.

Day 6 - Friday, January 1

A great opportunity to admire the amazing scenery through the country roads of the famous Vienna Woods. This tour will allow you to see the most beautiful part of the southern part of Vienna Woods. A stop will be made at Hoeldrichsmuehle, known as the place where Schubert composed Der Lindenbaum.

Day 8 - Sunday, January 3
Depart Vienna
